Destroy your credit card. There is no such thing as free services by paying on time. If you can find a person who has not paid a single fil for services by paying on time for three years continuously, then you would have found a person who left important things to do just to make sure the payments were on time. To calculate how much you pay per year, just take all the service charges you have paid for the past three years and total them. Then think which is better. Having 50000 AED in the bank and avail free priority banking or paying all those credit card service charges. Return on investment is immediate. You suddenly feel relaxed you shall be charged no more. Make sure you get a letter in WRITING from the bank that the card is canceled to make sure the bank “accidentally” does not charge you. With the letter to remind the bank of your agreement, they shall gladly reverse any “future” accidental charges. Remember their computers are programmed to charge the customer in favor of the bank on every time related event or occasion imaginable. The humans are the people who shall agree not to charge and have no way to stop the computer to not charge you further. This is why you need a paper letter.
Buy a refrigerator and a microwave oven. New small fridge is AED 300 and a microwave is AED 200. This 500 investment shall pay for itself in 2 weeks.
