Salary Range : AED 5,000 to 10,000 per month. 

This is a full time position that is responsible for managing FTTTH and DSL networks in other countries remotely from an office in Dubai, UAE. 

Physical Location of Job: Dubai UAE 

Preferred Qualification: Bachelor of Computer Science 

Preferred Certifications : Any relevant certifications.

Experience : 3 to 5 years in management and operation of FTTH DSL  networks

Specific JOB Responsibility :

• Manage Remotely a team of network engineers and technical support representatives.

• Be involved in all network-related job roles including initial RFP process, planning, implementation, maintenance, and documentations.

• In-depth knowledge of running multiple Linux/BSD servers for customer-driven services

• Develop and maintain MySQL databases

• Use PHP to develop scripts for monitoring, automation, and database management

• Complete network tasks which include IP address subnetting, fibre optic troubleshooting and provisioning, core cisco router and switches  configuration, system upgrades, and proactive maintenance and configuration.

• Be a contributing member of the management team which is responsible for company-wide policies and procedures. 

• Responsible for all network planning and purchases from the core level all the way down to the customer facing side

• Knowledgeable in BGP peering

• Knowledge and experience of managing isp billing , 

• Able to apply fair usage policy for subscribers 

• Full knowledge of LINUX based BRAS server

Required Technical Skills to Perform this Job Successfully:

Layer 2: VLAN, VTP, STP, EPS (Occam), MRP

Layer 3: OSPF, BGP, NAT, static routes

VPN: IPSEC and PPTP, both site-to-site and user access, Experience with Cisco and Nortel VPNs

Firewalls and ACLs: Cisco PIX, Vyatta, and IPTABLES, Develop and maintain ACLs in various systems

Protocols: Experience with DHCP, PPPoE, SNMP, DNS, Apache, IPTABLES, FTP, SSH, ICMP, IGMP, MGCP, GR303

Servers: Experience in Linux/BSD running services such as DHCP, PPPoE, FTP, Icinga, Cacti, etc.
 
Preferred Attributes to Perform this Job better : 

• Previous ISP network operation experience.

• Have successfully managed a team of staff.

• Successfully completed a post secondary education.

• Available to work weekend and evening shifts.

• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Excellent troubleshooting skills.

• Strong analytical abilities.

Good to have :

1. Experience in telecommunication 

2. Experience in microwave and satellite communication 

3. Experience Iptv and Vod 

4. Experience and knowledge of triple play FTTH network.
