What is Dynamic DNS?

Dynamic DNS makes a dynamic IP address act like it is a static IP address, meaning it does not change. It does this by utilizing a hostname and our Dynamic Update Client to keep your hostname updated with the correct IP address.

Why?
Dynamic IP addresses can make remote access difficult, Dynamic DNS simplifies it by pointing an easy to remember name hostname to your IP address.

How?
Create an easy to remember hostname, then download our Dynamic Update Client (DUC) and run it on your computer. When your IP address changes, the DUC updates your hostname.

Result?
Your hostname stays active with your current IP address so you are always able to access your device remotely.
